These tracks help reduce the risk of cross contamination of hospital acquired infections. The anti microbial finish is permanent and cannot be wiped or rubbed off through repeated contact, even when cleaning with standard hospital detergents. In addition there is no evidence to date to suggest that bacteria can become resistant to BioCote. This finish will also not affect the performance of the track in any way.
